Apparently, according to the esteemed journal Science, and a reporter at the New York Times, 909 women in Texas are a barmometer and benchmark for women across the whole nation and their miserable lives prove to the entire world that women are most happy when they are alone watching TV.

What a bunch of crap. I'm no bored off my ass Texas housewife and I resent being told by The Times and Science that this is the way *all* women are. This is a small sector of the populace, let alone the entire country, and that makes the declarations of the article specious in the utmost.

I'm going to have a cup of hot chocolate and listen to some Italian jazz. Bite me, Texas.
