On top of rediscovering my theologian's roots (kind of like finding your first gray hair all over again), I got a response to an email I wrote to the head of the Religion and Society concentration in the Religious Studies dept. at B.U. I told him about a project I'd like to do on how subcultures deconstruct belief systems, re-construct them to fit the needs of the subculture and how oftentimes the ones who do this have had no theological instruction in any tradition. So, the head wrote me back and said they'd be interested in this project. In fact, probably very interested. and if I'd be interested, he'd like to meet and talk with me sometime in mid-October.

I've never had anyone say they wanted to talk to *me* about my ideas. Usually I'm the one beating down their doors.

He also said I should start getting the application materials together.

I might be on my way to a Ph.D. come next fall. if all goes right. if I can keep up the momentum.

crap! means I have no choice but to take the GRE now.

Hey Tish, if it's any consolation I'm going to be taking the GRE soon as well. And also consider, my SO is taking the LSAT this Saturday.
