I never cried at schmaltzy songs when I was young...it wouldn't have been cool.

Now, I don't care.

Then again, the world was a bit different 20-some-odd year ago...ideas of romance were different...bands were different...

Or maybe it's just that the schmaltzy songs aren't being sung to me anymore.

and maybe the things I used to hate when I was younger (because they were so ubiquitous in my life) I appreciate now (because they're not in my life enough.)
