Pounding the Pavement

I really haven't had all that much time to write recently. Most of my brain-space that is normally dedicated to blogging and journalling is being taken over by the need to write effective cover letters and knock-out resumes....

I need a job. A *real* job. One with benefits, that pays enough for me to pay my bills regularly (rather than irregularly).

So, blog entries, for awhile anyway, are turning into irregular exercises. I'm not happy about it, but the whole cover letter/resume thing is so anxiety-riddled for me that I can't think of much else.

And to think I was going to try to break up with Steady Eddie while looking for a job...yeah, and send myself straight to the Fifth Floor.

Trying to multi-task two major life changes--in employment and in an on-going relationship--is just waaaay too much stress.

Lucky Bastard is sitting on the sidelines, too, because I can't deal with his amorphous feelings, of which I will not be responsible for.

So, here I go....off to create an image of myself that I hope will be acceptable to some employer out there....because I'm tired of being bored, poor, and under-utilized.
