I think when I finally sit down and write a novel it will be about really normal people living really normal, nice lives. They'll be kind of upper middle, with lots of advantages and successes, and piquant eccentricities. It will, decidedly have a happy ending.

Why? Because truth remains stranger than fiction, and it will be quite the challenge for me to write anything otherwise.
