Without my bookmarks, I have the sense of a loss of identity.

I had alot of stuff there...other interesting blogs, websites on mental illness and sexuality (hmmm, strange combo), various on-line magazines, the site of a perfumier in New Orleans, and some other stuff that I can't remember but know was important to what I'm doing and various projects I'm working on.

June is a month of changes...for me, it's also a disaster month. Disaster and change usually go together--change by force. But I would prefer the change to be less like a 4-alarm fire and more like the movement of spring to summer.

Perhaps, though, my life doesn't move or change in that particular way. Proverbially, it appears I am more often than not hit by various modes of transportation along life's highway than I am picked up and whisked away by them. Perhaps that comes from never having the proper bus fare. And I'm not too sure how to change that sort of circumstance.

Never ever listen to what Earthlink tells you to do. Not for the first four phone calls or four hours. You have to wear these people down and keep telling them they don't know what they're talking about (because they will tell you to do things that will destroy your operating system) before you get someone who will finally talk sensibly, and with great reluctance usually. When they tell you to do something that is going to fuck with your OS or possibly mess with any saved data, tell them, "No." Say you want to talk to someone else.

I did notice that odd little thing about Earthlink wanting to mess with the OS. What's with that?? Esp. when the problem is really simple.

I think they over-think what they're doing.
