Believe it or not I am actually going away for a few days...to Lake Placid for a much needed escape from everything. This will be the first time I'm getting away without the trip being a sojourn to New Jersey for dealing with my Mother's death.

After talking with my Father this morning, I realized I really need this break.

However, I have been thinking more about shoes since I read Shamash's post this morning. Take a look at it--it's a wonderful read...

Also go over to Ainsley's blog and read this post and the comments...we had an interesting little back and forth about infidelity and men, which has me drafting a three-blog essay titled The Rules of Infidelity.

I think it's about time someone put a good $.02 out there about the subject, and, dammit, I seem to have alot of info on it, so it might as well be me.

I'm leaving in the a.m. and will be back on tuesday. I will feel massively guilty for not blogging during that time, but since I can't afford a laptop or a super sophisticated cell phone or blackberry to do moblogging, I'll have to live with the guilt.....

Enjoy the holiday!

Don't feel guilty... just enjoy your time, and write when you can.

Have a great time! Ah, I need a vacation.

I really enjoyed our conversation on my blog. I think I agreed with everything you said; it would be interesting to get some dissenting views. I tried to encourage my friends to post but all they did was read it and say, that was interesting. Oh well:)

I'm looking forward to "The Rules of Infidelity" essay. Since I was ten, I've cheated on every guy I've ever been with, except one.

The Rules of Infidelity would be a great title for a short story. Hmm makes me think of Brett Easton Ellis' The Rules of Attraction. I just finished reading that. It's amazing how things never change. Tiny liberal arts colleges seem to exist in a vacuum.
