For some reason I'm not being allowed into your post on flaking, but this one's receiving comments so I'm leaving the comment on flaking here...
I think flaking is usually related to a dry scalp - that would be the main health aspect.
Did I get you? Okay, seriously...
I see what you mean about how some kinds of health conditions can be involved. But I also think that for many people there's a social aspect - that people in my generation and younger just tend to have worse manners than my parents generation.
I was still able to work until two years ago, and it used to drive me crazy how I could really count on most people NOT to return phone calls! Same with the doctors' offices I was continually having to deal with...
That's so cool about the hospital using blogs as part of the healing process. Thanks for posting that link, very interesting for me. :)
