I've been indulging in a bit of navel-gazing recently and watching my stats like a hawk. I turned the 3,000 mark at some point today, and achieved my first 100 post day last week.
The funniest thing of all is that most of the hits are on searches for sex-related topics--like older men having sex with younger women, sex and male dancers, sex with mother-in-law (never wrote specifically on that, but one article mentioned both sex and mother-in-law in the same paragraph, sex and exotic dancers, jennifer wilbanks and sex...and alot more oddball Google and AOL searches with "sex" hit my blog.
And sometimes they actually stop in to read the pages! That's what makes me most happy!
So, maybe I should start writing more on sex. It seems to make me a Big Hitter.

Congrats on the 3,000 hit milestone, Tish! Whatever you write, I'll be around to read.
Kudos! 3,000th hit: that's exciting stuff!
For sure: people like the subject of sex. Your insights on sex are razor-sharp and provocative.
Yet, I'm sure your readers also stay around for the rest of your writing, too. Take out the sex, and I'd still be reading your blog.
Take out your picture, though, and people might not stay around as long. Your photo is a real fish-hook. When I first saw it, I thought, "Who IS this person?" So, I stayed around to find out.
