Big changes! My old blog Spap-Oop! has gone thru a name change and is now called Snarkaholic (it has the old addy though--couldn't change that without deleting the whole thing). That blog's been an evolving project over the past couple of months, and a recent fun and snarky exchange with Jeff Jarvis here and here at Buzzmachine, as well as commentary at Jay Rosen's Pressthink piece on Blogher has really lit a fire under my sedentary butt and has got me doing something more than what I was. I realize I enjoy a good snark, and that guys like Jarvis and Rosen won't respond to a snark unless they think the snarker can handle the heat with a certain aplomb. I have no problem getting drubbed by Jarvis because it is, in an oddball and male way, a means of conveying a compliment--yes, I am most definitley sharp enough and smart enough to engage in the fracas.
And, I think, charming enough too ;-)
Life, and blogging, just got a bit more interesting for me....which means that this particular blog can be kept mostly for the personal and more in-depth commentary. Sometimes I need to be extremely *personal* and I think those moments are important to the blogosphsere. I can *always* cross-post.
Muliple Blogging Personality Disorder really isn't a problem, you see--all depends on how you handle it.

I was thinking of having a private blog aside from my knitting blog. There are things I want to say, that I just don't want to say to everyone. And especially my family. haha. Maybe I should actually do it. But I'll have to come up with a name.
one of the tips I read about naming blogs is to keep it short/sweet and catchy. If you have an inside family joke, you can use that. Spap-Oop was an inside joke from my younger years (as I wrote a post on it) but that inside joke is now on the verge of growing up a bit and I needed to change things. Although I wish I'd thought of the new name back some time ago...then again, at that time I was trying to be a semi-serious metablog....go figure
