What I Hate About Living in New England...
I can sum this up in one word: snow.....
Now, it's bad enough that I live in the Western part of Massachusetts...far enough from Boston to make it an overnight trip (unless you are of college age and never sleep) and close enough to Hartford to be bored senseless.
And quiet enough out here that, in the summer, you can hear a bug fart...actually, though, it's not necessarily that quiet in my current little corner of Squalor, but that's another story. I actually did live in another part of the region where there were no streelights and it really was *that* quiet....
Yet every winter I stay up here, I ask myself the musical question "why?" Because I hate snow. I really do. I drive well in it, and I can get around in it, but I really hate it. It's cold. It gets all over everything. It makes me wet and not in a good way. It takes forever to dry up and go away and in between it hangs around getting black and crusty.
I always ask myself why I didn't head south rather than north. But I don't deal well with summer either--I deal worse with summer heat than winter cold. All I do, for the hottest part of summer is lie around like a slug that someone threw salt on. Summer isn't all that much fun for me.
I guess if we just had winter without snow, it would be fine.
If that were the case, I'd be living back in New Jersey.
But that's another story....

Well, you know... you could always winter out here with us.
I'd *love* to be able to afford a home out your way *and* a place here in the mountains.
I wouldn't be able to get out there till after football season though...I've already Pleged Allegiance to the Patriots!
:)
